Hello and welcome to Arty Girl Designs! I'm Dianne, an arty, fossil-digging, adventure-seeking, camera-happy girl.  I'm glad you stopped by to check out what I am up to! 

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from The University of South Florida, and currently work as a Director in the Early Childhood Field of education.  I am also a Mixed Media artist and former Gallery co-owner who has traveled and exhibited my artwork throughout the US.  My Mixed Media art has evolved and changed over the years. I have enjoyed exploring and playing with a variety of mediums, including painting, glass, photography, and my newest love, mosaics.

I am artistically inspired by nature, awed by the color of sunsets, and centered by the sounds of ocean waves or babbling creeks. My passion for digging and sifting for prehistoric fossil treasures from coastal beaches, creeks, and rivers has added new and creative elements to my art portfolio.  The juxtaposition of being both an artist and a fossil hunter has launched my newest artwork series, Deep Time Mosaics. Whether it is using a million-year-old shark tooth found in Florida's Peace River or capturing a scenic moment in print from my photography, each gift of nature offers something special.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to mix those gifts up and create new art, sharing the world through my eyes.
